I want to thank your salesman Teal Thoman for making the purchase of a BMW R1200GS from your dealership a pleasure. Teal was patient, personable and helpful in all phases of the transaction making it an easy purchase.
He helped getting financing, helped getting the service department to add on some of the farkels I wanted on the bike,
helped getting me an extended warranty on the bike. He even went out of his way to pick me up and take me to your dealership to complete the transaction since I had already sold my BMW motorcycle.
At all times he focused on getting the purchase completed in the easiest way. He exhibited excellent knowledge of motorcycles and motorcycling. While the first is often true of a lot of motorcycle salesmen the second helps the customer dealing with an experienced rider. Without Teal I don't think I would be the proud owner of a bright Red BMW R1200GS today.
Base on my experience with Teal in your dealership I have no problem in recommending your dealership to any of my friends wanting to purchase a BMW.

I just want to say I had an amazing experience purchasing my BMW C600 Sport at Long Beach BMW Motorcycles. I started my day off by visiting a dealership a little closer to where I live, however when I arrived and started looking at bikes, I was ignored. I decided I didn't want to deal with a bad sales experience, so I headed to Long Beach. I made the right decision!

I was immediately greeted by Robyn...Let me just say, I knew right away I was going to have a fun, comfortable and carefree transaction, and it was. Robyn immediately approached me and spent quality time with me comparing the two C-Series scooters. She let me take the C650GT for a demo ride, which has been unheard of in my previous motorcycle purchasing experiences. After the test ride, I knew the C650GT wasn't for me, so Robyn offered to let me take a quick ride on the C600 Sport, which wasn't a demo. She was gracious enough to really let me decide for myself which bike would be best for me. knowing sometimes riding the bike will make the decision. After a quick test ride, I was immediately sold!

I went into Long Beach BMW to look at a 2013 F700GS I had been interested in ... and ended up buying one. I talked
with salesperson Robyn Smietan, who educated me on this particular bike, other bikes, my options, and I was able
to conclude indeed this was what I wanted. I went to lunch while she contacted BMW Financing and got a call a short
time later that everything was approved and I went back to buy my new Motorcycle. The important things for me that
has me writing this review is that I want to express my thanks to Robyn and Long Beach BMW for making my purchase
simple, pleasant, quick, and that I appreciated her knowledge that helped me know which bike was best for what I
was looking to do.

I wanted a BMW F800 GS for the upcoming summer in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia and Russia. Called Long Beach BMW, worked with Robyn to complete a sale on the exact used bike I was looking for, (needed to be used to be legal for export) added critical accessories that arent available in Mongolia, and thanks to Sales and Logistics goddess; Robyn, was able to complete the entire transaction, all accessories and parts supplied and installed and delivered in time to make a container ship date all in 4 days. Dear Charles,

What an outstanding BMW dealership we have found at Long Beach. All of the staff we interacted with were most very helpful and understanding. Below is our story.

In late May 2012 we had our four motorcycles trucked from Sherbrooke, Quebec to Long Beach BMW Motorcycles, CA. We flew to Long Beach a couple of weeks later. To our dismay the bikes had not arrived upon landing at about noon on June 1st! We squatted LB BMW's showroom most of the afternoon but we never felt unwelcome. When at last the truck rolled in late that afternoon the Service Department graciously unloaded our crated steeds.

All material for transport of the bikes was stored at LB BMW for the 14 days we spent roaming California clockwise on a map. We rode a grand total of 6,164 Km (3,852 Mi). On June 14, the unavoidable return date, the Service Department again kicked in to facilitate our crating of the motorcycles. The four bikes were stored at LB BMW until loaded on the return truck, all the while we flew out California back to Quebec.

We would like to express our gratitude to Long Beach BMW Moorcycle for taking such good care of our motorcycles..., free of charges! It concurred to make 2012 a memorable year for passionate motorcyclists like us. Thank you Charles and your group.

My service experience at Long Beach BMW Motorcycles was outstanding. I was traveling from San Diego to Santa Monica early on a Saturday morning. I needed a new battery for my K1200R and I happened to be right around the corner from the dealership. Fortunately, one of the Long Beach Service Technicians, Paul Szabados, happened to be at the shop (normally the service department is not open on Saturday). Charles Berthon made sure I was taken care of and back on the road without delay. Paul even washed my bike before it left the garage. Great personal service!

I just wanted to thank you and your entire organization for helping me in a fairly desperate situation.

I came down to Long Beach on Friday, August 10 and arrived late in the evening. My rear tire was out on my 2001 R1100RL and I had to return to Seattle, which was over 1200 miles. In my GPS I have all the BMW Motorcycle Dealers and found yours less than 2 miles away. I called the dealership and they said the service department was closed on Saturday. Although the service department was closed, Peter Jurinek was there and said they could put a tire on for me. He and Paul Szabados were very helpful. In fact, they told me that the problem was only my valve stem and could save me a lot of money by replacing it only. My tire had 16K miles on it and we mutually decided that replacement was the best option and it would make me feel a lot better for the trip home.

This kind of service is why I know that I can depend on BMW and know why they are the only bikes I ride.

Thanks to you and your staff. I was treated extremely well while in Long Beach.

And BTW...I rode the entire 1200 miles back to Seattle in a single shot with no problems from the bike or the tire. The only complaints came from my butt!

An outstanding dealership!

I shipped my BMW S1000RR to BMW LongBeach to use at two conferences I was attending. Charles and his staff gave me a warm reception upon my arrival. Greg and his service techs did a terrific job in servicing the bike.

These people could not do enough to make my California riding experience a great time. 5 Star Service !

The dealer is also ideally situated close to the 405 so that all parts of LA and southern California are easily accessible.

The layout of the store, the range of gear and accessories, and the layout of the repair bays are beautifully thought out.

BMW usually does things to a high standard....but this dealer eclipses anything that I have seen in Canada, in USA and in Australia.

The sales staff is first rate along with the service for the bikes, they have a large selection of quality used motorcycles in stock that is always different and only the best bikes are taken in making the customer choices harder to make. The demos bikes made the difference for me I was also shopping Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha 1200cc touring bikes but none of the dealers have demos bikes like BMW has and if they do make a used bike available I would have to go with a sales person in the parking lot at best. The only down side to Long Beach BMW web site is the parts dept I would like to see them increase their online selection in the new year it is a poor assortment at best and doesn't even scratch the surface of the parts available... Overall the dealer is worth a visit in person!

Dealing with the folks at Long Beach BMW motorcycles has been a complete pleasure. I just purchased a new 2011 R1200GS and the whole experience was fantastic. Unlike other places I have been LB BMW only specializes in BMW motorcycles (and Husqvarna I think) and the sales people there are very knowledgeable. Robyn the "goddess O' Sales" was extremely helpful during my purchase. Even when I came in to just brows she answered all my questions, and informed me of pricing and specials in a friendly manner without any pressure. This easy going approach put me at ease enough to come back and purchase the motorcycle. Even during the purchasing process Robyn informed me of additional programs I may want to consider but without the scare tactics of other places I have been. After purchasing the bike I had to of course get some accessories! Dewey the parts manager went above and beyond when it came to helping me with the luggage I bought. The service department was really busy so Dewey came out to help me install the bags on my bike. And by "help me" I mean he pretty much did it all himself! What great service! I have experience with 4 BMW dealership in Southern Calif. The first one I set up a deal to buy a K1300S. I drove about 80 miles to get there. This was supposed to be a done deal. When I showed up they informed me that the bike that they were selling me was a factory recall and that would be on the title. That's like buying a vehicle with salvage title on the pink slip. Its worth less than half when you drive off. Dealer two has bikes on the internet that they show a bike and a price that is for a stripped bike that they do not have. They ask for around a two thousand dollar bump to buy what they have in stock. I know if this was a car dealership its illegal as hell. The third dealership, where I bought my bike. When I brought it in for service, the service manager said that he would never of bought my model. Gives ya a nice warm feeling doesn't it. I finally found Long Beach BMW. A complete breath of fresh air. The dealership is clean and the employees are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I had a serious problem with my Motorcycle and they went way out of their way to get the factory to take care of it. This is a time in most things in life where customer service does not exist. LB BMW has gone way beyond the call of duty to help me and I appreciate it. I would not go anywhere else to get my bike serviced or to purchase another one but LB BMW. They let me take out the S1000RR for a test ride by myself and it scared the H___ out of me. I think that will be my next bike. Thank You Long Beach BMW.

Zurich Tire and Wheel Policy In 2009 I bought an F800ST and the Zurich tire and wheel policy. To date the policy cost me $500 and Zurich has put $1800 of tires and labor into my bike. I bought the policy as I recognized that it was a good deal. Unlike most car dealership extended warrantees, this one is really squared away. Written in plain English and clearly stated terms you are buying a policy for $500 to protect the parts of your bike that are the most likely to be damaged on the road. I am so glad I bought this policy. I ride every day on the I-5, I-110, I-105 and I-405 in Los Angeles. I lane split, I'm in the HOV lanes, mixed in with traffic and ride around my neighborhood so my tires are exposed to all sorts of road conditions. Within my first 250 miles of riding a quarter inch bolt, no less, found its way into my back tire. Between the tire and labor that one incident instantly repaid $300 of the $500 I paid for the policy. Over the next 12 months I picked up an array of nails and screws and the policy has covered my tires every time with no hassle. I ride allot but my case is not extreme. I'm typically quite safe, and don't really ride in any risky areas. There is just so much crap on the LA Metro roads and freeways that it’s hard to avoid this stuff. Most of it you will never see until you walk out to your bike the next day and find it stuck in your tire. Some people thinks it’s ok to just patch/plug a motorcycle tire like a car...nothing is further from the truth, I'm an engineer and know how to look at the data. A damaged tire stresses differently around the puncture area even with the patch/plug combination. There will always be a weak spot there and you never know when it is going to fail or how bad. If a patch/plug fails on a car tire, the tire goes flat and you pull off the road and change your tier. On the other hand if a motorcycle tire goes flat while riding the bike gets unstable and depending on how good of a rider you are, maybe you'll crash, maybe not. It’s always best to replace a punctured tire and this policy makes that a whole lot easier and hassle free. You absolutely CANNOT go wrong with this policy. I will absolutely vouch for this policy as it has saved me financially a few times. Even if you don't think you'll ride much it really sucks to shell out $300 to replace a tire and again a few months later and again a few months after that!

LB BMW Motorcycles In December of 2009 I was shopping for my first bike. I had been looking at all makes and models for the previous six months and after my experience at Long Beach BMW Motorcycles I decided to buy a 2009 F800ST. Robyn, the sales person I worked with, was great. She gave me great deal and has always been attentive and responsive to any questions, concerns or comments I have had over the last year and half. She has a no-pressure approach and gives you the information you need to make your own informed decision. Once you have bought a bike from her she will always help you out with any issues or concerns about the bike while you own it. Recently I lost my key while on a trip and needed to replace it. The local dealer needed my registration to order a key. The registration was, of course, locked under the seat which requires the key, I called Robyn and she called the local dealer and vouched for me as the owner. I was able to get a new key in 24 hours with no hassle...Awesome Service! The Bike As for the bike, I am an engineer so by my nature I like data and research and always work to find the best value for the money I spend. It took me six months to choose a bike and I am so glad I went with the F800ST over my other candidates. In the last year and a half I have put over 23,000 miles on the bike. It has never missed a beat. I have taken it on week long road trips loaded with 100 pounds of camping/traveling gear and rode it up the PCH and through Big Sur for 12 hours with all that gear on the back and it performed as if the gear wasn't even there. I have had the bike in 30kt+ cross winds, temperatures ranging from 37F to 118F, dry and humid conditions and have never seen any loss in performance. It has plenty of power, a forgiving clutch, easy throttle and strong brakes, shifts easily, and yet able to open up on the highway without any effort. This is such a great first bike that I tell all my friends about it, when they sit on it or ride it they are amazed how comfortable it is. If you’re new to riding or just looking for a light touring bike look no further because...THIS IS IT. The Service The F800ST has an unheard of 36,000 mile warrantee. That alone should say something about what BMW thinks of their product...PERIOD. Every time I bring the bike into LB BMW for regular maintenance or issues, they are attentive, easy to work with and knowledgeable about the bike. They always offer a loner bike while mine is in for service. Last year I had a small leak on the water pump which turned out to be a bad crush washer under a bolt. The service department fixed it right away with and I have not had any issues since. They always seem to have the parts in stock and their parts manager is a walking bike parts library. Their Service Garage WOW, that was my first comment when I walked in. It was clean, organized and very uniform. No junk lying around or random piles of parts. Every station was clean, orderly and professional. They had all the right tools and plenty of working space. If only I could have a garage just like there's...I would never leave it!

What an OUTSTANDING Experience! Robyn, the "Goddess O' Sales" Was extremely helpful to me. I called to ask about the F800R if it was in stock and it was available. I asked to see if I could test drive it and was amazed at how simple and easy the process was, she walked me all the way through in a very possessional and fun manner. After the test drives I was immediately sold on the bike and told her I wanted it and she again, did a fabulous job getting it all sorted out and was very flexible. The day of the final sale was very smooth and relaxed as she double checked and finalized everything for me. I was on my way that evening with my new bike and VERY HAPPY with my purchase and experience so far. I highly recommended this dealership and Robyn for your buying experience. She deserves a "Bravo Zulu", which in the Navy we call WELL DONE!!

I was in the research and shopping process for an Adventure Bike for almost a year and a half. I rode, I read, and I asked a bunch of questions. When I finally thought I was ready to make a decision I went to a variety of different BMW motorcycle dealerships in Southern California. The thing that encouraged me to drive all the way to Long Beach (I live in Orange) was their large selection of bikes to test ride. I came down had some great rides and met the awesome team. Robyn assisted me through the entire process. She asked me questions that I would have never thought to ask, but ended up being very important to me. They got all the extras I wanted in stock and installed before I came down to pick up the bike and the financing was extremely simple. I also picked up the tire and wheel insurance which I think is an incredible value! I have been tearing it up on my new F800GS and absolutely loving it!
